Cornelia Younger of Hamden, CT passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Saturday July 14th, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Cornelia was born in Roanoke, Virginia on April 19, 1930. She was the devoted wife of the late David Younger.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Armelia Herbert; son, Roderick (Virginia); daughters, Rita, Donna, Maxine, Sabrina (Walter) and Toni.  She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who she loved dearly.

Cornelia was predeceased by her grandson Michael and great-granddaughter Talana.

A celebration of Cornelia's life will take place on Thursday July 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthews UFW Baptist Church, 400 Dixwell Avenue, New Haven. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park.
