Josephine Williams, 76, departed this life March 22, 2020. Ms. Williams was born in Hemingway, SC on April 28, 1943, a daughter of the late George Mention and Alberta Carr Mention.

For many years, she owned Josie's Big Apple Beauty Salon and Supply store.

She leaves to cherish loving memories, her children, Michael A. Mention and Kevin V. Mention Young; she raised and also leaves Raymond F. Mention, Richard Mention and Martha D. Mention (the children of her sister, the late Jessie Mae Mention); siblings, Samuel Mention, Gracie Mention Wright, Olivia Mention Perry, Carol Ann Mention Moody and Richard A. Mention; numerous grandchildren; a great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends whom she referred to as her family.

Ms. Williams was predeceased by her sister, Jessie Mae Mention; and a brother, George T Mention.

A memorial service to celebrate her life and legacy will be held at a later date. Thank You, the Mention Family.
