William J. Bowling, Jr. of New Haven, entered eternal rest on September 29, 2017.

William was born in New Rochelle, NY on October 7, 1957, son of the late William J. Bowling Sr. and Doshia Bowling.

William retired from Mayflower Moving company and was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife, Danette Bowling; daughter, Michelle Bowling; brothers, James Harris (Carolyn), Roger Harris, Don Harris (Patricia), David Bowling (Sandra), Daniel Bowling; and sisters, Shirley Armstrong, Starlene Williams (Bernard), Alice Uzzle (Anthony), Tewanna Johnson, Diamond Bowling and T'najia Bowling; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; family and friends.

He was predeceased by his brother, John L. Harris (Patricia).

A celebration of life for William will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at The New Haven Church of Christ, 16 Gem Street, New Haven, CT. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
