Felicita Viera, 78, of New Haven, entered into eternal rest on August 14, 2015. She was the wife of Miguel Viera.

Born in San Sebastian, PR, July 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Hermengildo Miranda and Maria Montalvo Miranda.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Santo and Porfirio Alers, Audeliz Juarbe and Tyrone Howard; daughters, Luz and Felicita Alers, Grisel Ford and Nilsa Medina; grandsons, Frankie Gomez and Angel Morales; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; 21 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by a brother and a sister.

A celebration of Mrs. Viera's life and legacy will be held Friday, August 21, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
