Una C. Sanford, 90, of West Haven, CT entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2016. She was the widow of Neil I. Sanford.

Mrs. Sanford was born in Guyana, South America on February 3, 1926, a daughter of the late Cecil Carrington and Sophia Moore Carrington.

She was a parishioner of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.

Una Sanford is survived by a son, Whitney A. Sanford and his spouse Deverlee Cunningham; daughter, Jewell Hall and her spouse Donsford Hall; an adopted son, Randy Storm and his spouse Donna Storm; and an adopted daughter, Yvonne Franco; sisters, Doreen Carrington, Sheila Rose, Megan Johnson and Joyce Carrington; a brother, Robert Carrington and his spouse Philemena Carrington. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by a sister, Clarice Carrington.

A Requiem Mass celebrating Mrs. Sanford's life and legacy will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 111 Whalley Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 8:00-9:00 A.M. Burial will be in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
