Thomas A. Chadwick, 93, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on October 10, 2023. He was the husband of Doris A. Chadwick.

Mr. Chadwick was born in Jacksonville, NC on June 25, 1930, a son of the late William Chadwick and Eliza Hawkins Chadwick.

He was a graduate of Georgetown High School in Jacksonville, NC and attended Virginia State University.

He was a Korean War army veteran and received an honorable discharge in 1954.

Mr. Chadwick was a longtime member of Community Baptist Church in New Haven and prior to retirement, was employed by the former Armstrong Rubber Company as a Forklift Operator.

In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish loving memories, a son, Vouise "Vice" Fonville (Darlene); six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by a son, Bernard Chadwick; brothers, Nemrod, John L., Augusta, Stynette, William Ed and Dan Chadwick and Clessie Fonville; and sisters, Altha and Lillie Bell Chadwick.

A celebration of Mr. Chadwick's life and legacy will be held Monday, October 23, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Community Baptist Church, 143 Shelton Ave., New Haven. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. The burial will be in the State Veterans' Cemetery, Middletown, CT.
