Shirley Ann Moore-Taylor was the widow of the late Gregory D. Taylor.  Shirley Ann, affectionately called "NaNa" by her family, was the second oldest child of the late Deacon Charlie James Moore and Nellie Ruth Moore.

Shirley was a proud West Haven High School graduate and further pursued her education at University of New Haven and South Central College.  She worked diligently as a C.N.A. for 40 years, specializing in hospice care and addiction services.

At a very early age, Shirley received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Personal Savior, was baptized and received the Holy Ghost. She was well known for her testifying, singing and shouting. She didn't mind praising God! Sis. Shirley Taylor was an active member of Little Rock Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 94 Webster Street, under the late pastor, Elder Joseph Douglas. There she served faithfully and diligently on the Missionary Board, Senior Choir and assisted the Youth Choir.

Shirley is survived by her son, Robert "Poncho" Moore and daughter, Le'Tashia Nicole Taylor; grandchildren, Skylar, Robert Jr. (RJ), Ryleigh, and took a special hand in helping to raise granddaughter, Zianna and grandsons, Damonte and Bryson.

Shirley was predeceased by siblings, Charlie Joseph Moore, Annie Ruth Moore-Harrell and Richard Moore; and nephew, Carlos Joseph Moore, Jr. (C.J.)

She leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters, Murline Williams and Arlene Moore; and brother, David Moore. Also left to mourn, Aunt Thelma Harris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins Godchildren; and her special cousin, Alfreida Johnson.

A celebration of Shirley's life and legacy will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Rock Tabernacle Ministries, 94 Webster Street, New Haven, Connecticut.
