Agnes Richardson, 95, of Hamden, CT, entered eternal rest on July 11, 2024. She was the beloved widow of Ray Victor Richardson, Sr.

Born on March 11, 1929, in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Taylor and Lula Wright Taylor. Agnes dedicated many years to her work as a Domestic Worker and was a devoted member of St. Matthew's UFWB Church in New Haven.

Agnes leaves behind cherished memories with her daughter, Joyce Richardson; sons, Donald and Joseph Richardson; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was predeceased by her sons, Ray V. Richardson, Jr. and Wayne Richardson; brothers, Wallace, Burdell, and Arthur Taylor; and a grandchild.

A celebration of Mrs. Richardson's life and legacy will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Matthew's UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. A viewing will take place at the church from 8:00-9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park.
