Oscar Bailey, Sr., 86, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on November 26, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Annie Stovall Bailey.

Mr. Bailey was born in Montgomery, AL, on July 24, 1930, a son of the late Allen and Mattie Bailey.

Prior to retiring, he was employed by Michael Schiavone and Son as a Machinist.

In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish loving memories, daughters, Rose Simpson, Shirley Winston (John), Karen Bailey (Isaac) and Bridgett Bailey (Brian); 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by a son, Oscar L. Bailey, Jr.; daughter, Dorothy L. Bailey-Brown; a brother; and a sister.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 9:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing will be held from 8:00-9:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
