Lila Bertha Rice Myers, age 92, of Hamden, entered into eternal rest on May 9, 2015. She was the widow of Willie Myers.

Born in Georgetown, SC, May 5, 1923, she was the daughter of late Samuel and Lula Hutchinson Rice.

She was a member of Trinity A.M.E. Church in Hemingway, SC and a member of Forget Me Not Tent.

While residing in CT, she was a member of Faith Baptist Church in West Haven.

She is survived by daughters, Genell Brown, Channie Lee Moore (Lewis) and Vera Myers; a son, Kenneth Myers (Anna); daughter in-law, Mary Myers; a sister in-law, Martha Aklin; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Cora Lee Myers; sons, Leroy, Charlie and Willie Edward Myers; four brothers; four sisters; a grandchild, Bernard; and a niece, Lula Faulk Donovan.

Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Funeral service and burial will be held Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Hemingway, SC.
