Clifton McClean, Sr., 85, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on May 20, 2017.

Born in Dillon County, SC, March 15, 1932, he was the son of the late Hattie McClean.

Prior to retiring, Mr. McClean was employed at Stop & Shop. He served honorably in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.

He leaves to cherish loving memories, sons, Clifton McClean, Jr. and Anthony McClean; a daughter, Denise McClean; grandchildren, Janique and Janaye McClean and James Harris, Jr.; great grandchildren, Elijah Deboise, Ivae Howell and Kamryn Bentley; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Mr. McClean's life and legacy will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be private.
