Mattie Lou McFadden, 74, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on June 19, 2017. She was the widow of Albert McFadden, Sr.

Mattie was born in Kingstree, SC on March 31, 1943, a daughter of the late William and Lucille Scott.

She was a member of Bible Way Church Worldwide where she served on the Mother's Board, Usher's Board and was president of the Missionary Board.

She leaves to cherish loving memories, daughters, Anita McFadden Ormsby and Linda McFadden Abraham; sons, Albert McFadden, Jr. and Kim McFadden; brothers, Ervin Scott (Gloria) and William Scott (Janice); a sister, Millie Johnson; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathlyn McFadden Williams and a brother, Leroy Scott.

A celebration of Mrs. McFadden's life and legacy will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 9:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing will be held from 8:00-9:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
