Mary A. Boles, 86, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on September 27, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Arnold Boles, Sr.

Born in New Haven, Connecticut, on March 8, 1939, she was the daughter of the late David Solman and Alberta Elizabeth Woods Solman. Mary was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Hamden, Connecticut.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Arnold Boles, Jr., Vanessa Boles, and Arthur (Stefanie) Boles; her grandchildren, Arneisha Boles, Emanuel (Nicholle) Boles, Laquita Boles, and Adam (Hatsumi) Boles; and her great-grandchildren, Bryson Boles, Ta'Aliyah Jones, Christian Joyner, Maniah Boles, Shaenna Boles, Emanuel Boles Jr., Sean Boles, Natalia Boles, Anna Nobushima Boles, and Elena Nobushima Boles. She is also survived by her niece, Doris Tanisha Solman; nephew, Vance Eric Solman; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her son, William Boles; her sister, Doris Rebecca Solman; her brother, James "Sonny" Solman; and her nephews, George Solman and Thomas O'Neal Sanders.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, followed by interment in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. Family and friends may view at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
