Marvin L. Epps, 47, of East Haven, entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2015. He was the husband of Allyson Ford Epps.

Born in Kingstree, SC, February 5, 1968, he was the son of Melvin Epps, Sr. and Eliza Moore Epps.

Marvin was previously employed at Abel's Catering as a Caterer and reached his goal as a Manager at Westville Catering.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by sons, Dayvon Epps and Shaun Smallwood; brothers, Alexander, Bernie and Melvin (Joyce) Epps, Jr.; sisters, Cle McFadden, Queen and Rebecca Epps, Eliza Durant, Cathy Epps Samuels (Joseph), Jessalene Sullivan (Luther), Kayren Fairman (Gary) and Patsy Taitt (Roy); and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Marvin's life and legacy will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Paul U.A.M.E. Church, 1267 Chapel St., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 8:00-9:00 a.m. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
