Marie Sims, 73, of Hamden, entered eternal rest on May 6, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Ronald Sims.

Mrs. Sims was born in New Haven, CT on May 14, 1948, a daughter of the late Jocephus Weston and Mary Livingston Weston.

Prior to retiring, Marie was employed by SNET/AT&T as a Customer Service and Marketing Representative.

In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish loving memories, a daughter, Lisa Marie Sims; son, Glenn Sims and his wife Tameka; three sisters, Josephine Lewis, Willie Mae Weston and Colleen Galloway (Bobby); two grandchildren, Andres Gill and Skye Marie Sims; and over 100 nieces and nephews that she loved like her own children, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Weston and Richard Weston; and three sisters, Ernestine Reese, Carolyn Boykin and Ella Weston.

A celebration of Mrs. Sims' life and legacy will be held Monday, May 16, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Bible Gospel Center, 143 Leeder Hill Dr., Hamden. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. The burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
