Lorinda Elizabeth Jones Thompson entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. She was born January 7, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant, NY to Elnora James and William Henry Jones.

Lorinda grew up in New Haven, CT and attended the New Haven public school system. After high school, Lorinda attended Quinnipiac University. She worked for New Haven Public schools for more than 20 years.

On June 3, 1967 she married Clarence Larry Thompson with whom she had three children.

Lorinda leaves to cherish her memory three children, Steven, Lynett, and Laura Thompson; a brother, Kent Jones; grandchildren, Chrystal, John and Antonio Collins, and Nakisha Williams; great-grandchildren, Aaleyah and Amir Aglan, London Paris and Sadé Collins; a niece Erika; and a whole host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M.
