Obituary

Lena W. "Bobbie" Dixon entered eternal rest on April 4, 2024. She was the widow of Elliott "Red" Dixon.

Ms. Dixon was born February 3, 1929, in New Haven, CT, a daughter of the late George Freeman and Alice Davis Freeman.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Sunbeam Dress Factory and Duckster Company as a Dress Maker.

She was a former member of St. Paul UAME Church in New Haven.

Ms. Dixon leaves to cherish loving memories, her son, Rodney L. Robinson (Barbara); four grandchildren, Tracie C. Brown (Troy), Terrence Freeman, Carly Freeman and Roxann L. Robinson; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by a son, Craig M. Freeman; and four sisters, Vera Johnson, Alice Bowen, Berdine Grant and Rosetta "Rosie" Culbreath.

A celebration of Ms. Dixon's life and legacy will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Christian Center, 349 Wheelers Farms Rd., Milford. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:00-10:00 a.m. The burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
