Lamont Edward Carter, 44, of Randallstown, MD, formerly of New Haven, entered into eternal rest on May 20, 2016. He was the husband of Kim Juanita Gardner Carter.

Mr. Carter was born in Dayton, OH on June 22, 1971. He was the son of Brenda (Willie) Ampley and the late Lance Lafayette Carter.

Lamont was a standout basketball player at Hillhouse High School and later attended Lasalle University.

He was employed at Lowe's Home Improvement as an Assistant Manager.

In addition to his wife, mother and stepfather, he leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Nia Simone Carter; stepson, Jateese Gardner; a brother, Mark (Leslie) Carter; niece, Maya Carter; and several stepbrothers and stepsisters.

A celebration of Mr. Carter's life and legacy will be held Friday, June 3, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be private.
