James Willie Peterson, 50, of New Haven, entered into eternal rest on October 24, 2014.

Born in New Haven, CT, January 10, 1964, he was the son of Elijah and Shirley McMillan of New Haven and the late Pearl Peterson.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a sister, Mary Ann Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by a sister, Amethus Taylor.

A celebration of Mr. Peterson's life will be held Friday, October 31, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church, 425 Newhall St., Hamden. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
