Hazel M. Bucknor, 92, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on May 6, 2021.

She was born in Toll Gate Clarendon, Jamaica, West Indies on February 15, 1929, a daughter of the late Joseph Bucknor and Louise Wright Bucknor.

Ms. Bucknor leaves to cherish loving memories, sisters, Gwendolyn Burke and Bertha Bucknor; nieces, Maureen Campbell, Doreen Palmer, and Barbara Jones; nephews, Lascelles Burke, Jr. and Alpha Burke; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends in Jamaica, West Indies.

She was predeceased by a brother, Lindell Bucknor; and a nephew, Barrington Burke.

A celebration of Ms. Bucknor's life will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. A maximum of 45 people will be allowed to attend the Celebration of Life. A Walk-through viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T.
