Shirley B. Francis, 71, of New Haven, entered eternal rest on May 8, 2017.

Born in Trinidad, February 22, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Henry Francis and Enid O'Connor Joseph.

Prior to retiring, Shirley was employed by the Visiting Nurses Association as a Nurse's Aide. She was a member of Vertical Church in West Haven.

She leaves to cherish loving and lasting memories, a daughter, Joanne R. Francis; brother, Neville Francis; sisters, Patricia and Mavis Francis and Joyce O'Connor-Butcher; a grandson, Kevin Sims, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Dickie Francis, Nigel Francis, Kimberly Francis-Dubarry, Kurt Barthwaite and Karen Francis-Barnesand; and a host of other relatives and friends.
