On March 21, 2026, Eustace Doram, better known as Lucky, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was called to rest. Eustace was born October 30, 1951, in St. John’s, Antigua, to the late Donally and Geraldine Doram. He was the seventh child of eight siblings.
Eustace received his primary education at St. Joseph’s Academy in Antigua, and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree at the University of New Haven. With an aptitude for numbers, he pursued his education further to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He ended his career at Lubrizol, where he was a controller at their manufacturing plant, where he was widely respected for his sharp mind and exceptional skills. His dedication and precision left a lasting impression on colleagues and all who had the privilege of working with him.
Following many years of hard work and commitment, he enjoyed retirement while continuing to pursue the activities he loved. He found great enjoyment in continuing to challenge his mind. He had a passion for building intricate Lego sets – not the ordinary kind, but the complex and demanding designs, tackling complex, jigsaw puzzles, solving Sudoku, and, of course, completing tax returns, always embracing the satisfaction of a challenge well met.
He was a devoted father to his daughter, Sheinea, and a proud and loving grandfather to his cherished grandson, Anthony, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Above all, Eustace, will be remembered for his generous, kind, thoughtful spirit. His compassion and his presence brought comfort to those around him. He will be missed immensely and forever remembered by his family and all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Sheinea M. Doram and grandson, Anthony S. Jenkins; brothers: Conrad (Heather) Doram and William Doram; sister: Sylvia Doram and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Christian and brothers, Edward Doram, Elsworth Doram, and Reginald Doram, Sr.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight Street, New Haven. Family and friends may view at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The burial will be private.
