Errol "Bird" McDonald, 61, was born on December 14, 1963, in Kingston, Jamaica. He was the child of the late Cyril McDonald and the late Amy Wilson. He attended school in Kingston, Jamaica. He departed his earthly life on November 24th, 2025.
Errol migrated to New York in 1997 and then to Connecticut. While living in Jamaica he was employed by Caribbean Broilers (JA) Limited as a production worker. He also worked as a casual worker for a meat and grocery wholesale business owned by M. Bramwell.
Known as Bird or Mockingbird he loved to cook, play soccer, play dominoes, and enjoy his Jamaican related events (social, dances, basement, reggae concerts), activities, and culture. He stayed true to his Jamaican heritage. He loved to "touch da road" and hang with his friends (his soldiers as he would say).
Errol leaves behind his wife Lisa Mcknight; sons Sheldon McDonald (Rebecca), Andre McDonald, Orain McDonald, and Errol McDonald to cherish his memories. Stepdaughters Kevionna Austin (Edward), Keishaiya Standberry, and Chanel Smith. Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grand nephews, cousins, and friends. He also leaves two dear cousins Joanna Williamson and Trisha Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Reggie Bailey and sister Marcia Wray.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday December 6th, 2025, at 1 P.M. at Curvin K Council Funeral Home 128 Dwight Street, New Haven, CT.
