Elijah John Mazyck, 86, entered eternal rest on February 1, 2024. He was the widower of Ernestine Marie Mazyck.

Mr. Mazyck was born in St. Stephen, SC on May 14, 1937, a son of the late John Mazyck and Florence Mazyck.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years by Roadway as a Truck Driver and was an active member of the Teamsters Union.

He leaves to cherish loving memories, his daughter, Sherry Mazyck; brothers, Alphonza Mazyck and James Allen Mazyck(Sheila); two sisters, Dorothy Howard and Lucretia Howard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Mazyck was predeceased by a son, Michael C. Mazyck; three brothers, John Arthur Mazyck, Francis Mazyck and Sammy Mazyck; and three sisters, Mildred Stevens, Elizabeth Myers and Thirlestine Scott.

A Viewing and Visitation will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 4:00PM-6:00PM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight Street., New Haven. Funeral service and burial will be in Rockingham, NC.
