Dorothy Irene Maye Jones (Dot Maye), 75, of Hamden, entered eternal rest on December 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie L. Jones.

Mrs. Jones was born in New Haven, CT on March 16, 1946, the daughter of the late Danzy Maye and Odell Jordan Smith.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the former Southern New England Telephone Company as a Manager.

Mrs. Jones was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She leaves to cherish loving memories, her son, Michael Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her brother, Bobby Jordan.

A celebration of Mrs. Jones' life and legacy will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at St. Matthew's U.F.W.B. Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. A viewing will be held at the church from 5:00-6:00 P.M. The burial will be private.
