Dora E. Wilson, 96, of West Haven, entered into eternal rest on January 9, 2015. She was the widow of Harold L. Wilson, Sr.

Born in Yemassee, SC, March 10, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Lydia Garvin Whipper.

Prior to retiring, Mrs. Wilson was employed by Visiting Nurse Association as a Home Health Aide.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Jordan and Carol Wilson; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; a devoted nephew, Lester Gooding; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by sons, Harold Jr., Russell, Marshall, Ivan and Stanley Wilson.

A celebration of Mrs. Wilson's life and legacy will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 7:00 P.M. at Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church, 782 Orchard St., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Burial will be Friday at 9:00 A.M. in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
