Donald A. Lawhorn, 73, the sun set on a longtime resident of Killingworth, CT on July 21, 2016 after a long illness at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Dolores B. Lawhorn.

Born in Camden, SC on March 10, 1943, he was a son of the late Horace Lawhorn and Fannie Smith Lawhorn.

Prior to retiring, Donald was employed for over 30 years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in North Haven, CT.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his brothers, Horace (Clara) Lawhorn of New Haven, CT, Arthur (Evelyn) Lawhorn of North Haven, CT, Eugene (Jackie) Lawhorn of Los Angeles, CA and James (Margaret) Lawhorn of Camden, SC; a sister, Betty Spencer of Camden, SC; former sister in-law, Eleanor Lawhorn of New Haven, CT; two aunts; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a lifelong dear friend, James Bennett of Cassatt, SC.

Donald was predeceased by brothers, Curtis and Charles Lawhorn both of New Haven, CT.
