David E. Harrison, Sr., 78, of West Haven, CT, entered eternal rest on July 6, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Anna L. Harrison.

Born in Ridgeway, SC on April 29, 1939, he was the son of the late Retha Mae Heggins.

Mr. Harrison retired from Yale-New Haven Hospital and was previously employed by the Veterans' Administration.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Gwendolyn Harrison and Constance Harris; sons, David E. Harrison, Jr. and Donald (Sandra) Harrison; four grandsons, Myles, Donald, Macen and Timothy; six granddaughters, Lauren (John), Chelsea, Kylie, Hayley, Amber and Leah; a great grandson, Caleb; brothers, Jamie, John, Bobby and Dennis; and sisters, Maryann, Helen, Sadie, Dorothy and Faye; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his brother, Charles and sister, Annie Mae.

Private gathering and celebration was held with immediate family on July 10, 2017.
