David Earl Ford, 57, of Groton, departed this life on January 26, 2020.

Mr. Ford was born in Georgetown, SC on April 9, 1962, a son of Pearlene Ford and the late David Ford.

He was employed at General Dynamics Electric Boat.

In addition to his mother, he leaves to cherish loving memories, daughters, Lekeisha Davina Johnson (Darrell) and Tajhma Ford; sisters, Ramona Moore (Greg) and Dana Baughns (Jules); brothers, D'Andre and Vermont Ford; two grandsons, Luke and Micah Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Mr. Ford's life and legacy will be held Monday, February 3, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at New Flame Restoration Church, 1375 State St., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
