Shirley Darden, 80, of New Haven, passed away on June 4, 2017.

Born in Macon, GA, May 3, 1937 , she was the only child of the late Cleve Riley and Eva Mae Lockett Moore.

In the early 70's, she co-owned Pyramid Grocery Store on Newhall Street. Prior to retiring in 2008, she was employed at the Arden House for 25 years.

Shirley leaves to cherish her precious and loving memory, two sons, Stanley L. Darden III and Fred Darden (Karen); three daughters, Eva, Tynetta and Aisha Darden; four grandchildren, Brittany and Brenee Darden, James Alford and Kevin Smith.

A celebration of Ms. Darden's life and legacy will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Agape Christian Center, 90-100 Goffe St., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 8:00-9:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
