Cynthia Garner Chisolm, 68, of New Haven, entered into eternal rest on May 24, 2016.

Ms. Chisolm was born in Franklin, VA on January 5, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Alphonso and Catherine Ada Raiford and Calvin Garner.

She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Bridget Chisolm, a son, Brian (Adrienne) Chisolm; sisters, Marion (Ralph) McAuley and Sandra Barnes; grandchildren, Lynwood Dorsey III, Brian II, Cyrus and Dallas Chisolm; an aunt Verlessie Jackson; stepsons, Harold and Darin Chisolm; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Ms. Chisolm's life and legacy will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 9:00 AM at the New Trinity Temple Church, 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 8:00-9:00 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
