Charisse C. Duncan Townsend, of New Haven, died on Saturday, May 2, 2015. She was the daughter of Doris Seaborn Duncan and the late Herman Duncan, Sr.

She was employed by the New Haven Board of Education as a Youth Coordinator at Hill Central Music Academy.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Melyva "Pooka" Blount, Hermonaree Casey Cowan and Jimmie Townsend; her brother, Herman Duncan, Jr. and four grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Anthony and Derek Duncan.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church, 425 Newhall Street, Hamden, CT.
