Carrie L. Walton, 77, of Hamden, entered eternal rest on November 18, 2016.

Ms. Walton was born in Danville, VA, March 18, 1939, a daughter of the late Eddie Wilson and Mary Thomas Wilson.

Prior to retiring, she was employed at Yale-New Haven Hospital in the Environmental Services Dept.

Carrie leaves to honor her legacy and cherish loving and lasting memories, daughters, Marilyn D. Walton, Annette Walton Ross (Raymond), Priscilla Stancil (Leroy) and Gladys Walton; sons, Melvin Walton, Jr. (Sandra), Jack Walton and Tito Wilson; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by a sister, Kitty Mae Whittle; and 2 grandchildren.

A celebration of Ms. Walton's life and legacy will be held Friday, November 25, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church, 425 Newhall St., Hamden. Viewing will be held at the church from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
