Bobby G. Barnes, 57, of Hamden, entered into eternal rest on September 29, 2015. He was the husband of Jefferine Yvonne Barnes.

Born in Camden, SC, February 10, 1958, he was the son of the late Dan Barnes and Jessie Mae Barnes.

Mr. Barnes was a member of Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Gary Barnes; a daughter, Robyn Geneá Barnes; brothers, Billy Gary (Sheila) and Daniel, Reggie and Patrick (Yolanda) Barnes; sisters, Fran Gary, Dorothy Mewborn (Willie C.), Barbara, Felicia and Patricia Barnes and Jessie B. Jackson (Kenneth); and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Mr. Barnes' life and legacy will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 100 Webster St., New Haven. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
