Beverly Ann Horner, 82, of West Haven, peacefully entered eternal rest on July 17, 2026. She was the beloved widow of Raymond Horner, Sr.

Born in Mobile, Alabama, on May 26, 1944, Beverly was the daughter of the late Willie C. Donaldson, Sr. and Ethel Penn Donaldson.

Before her retirement, Beverly was employed by the United States Postal Service. She was a devoted and longtime member of Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hamden, Connecticut.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children, Debra Horner, Raymond Horner, Jr. and his wife, Rosemary; and Derek Horner, Sr. and his wife, Karissa. She is also survived by her sister, Loretta Donaldson; her grandchildren, Derek Horner, Jr. and his wife, Felicia Zalik, Darryn Horner, and Laila Horner; her two great-grandchildren, Brody Horner and Peyton Horner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her brothers, Willie C. Donaldson, Jr. and Terrell Donaldson.

A memorial service to celebrate Ms. Horner’s life and legacy will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church, 425 Newhall St., Hamden, followed by burial of her cremated remains in Evergreen Cemetery.
