Karen,
Heaven has gain yet another angel. Your mother was such a sweet person to be around.  I can vividly remember her encouraging words to me when I first met her at St.Paul's AME. May God provide you joy and comfort during this difficult time.

East Rock School was a place for beautiful people!  Helen was an important member of the staff and one who possessed a very caring approach to all children.  She monitored, not only a child's education, but also his/her quality of life.  She had such a healthy sense of humor--a unique ability to laugh at herself as well as seeing the humor in every day living.
My sincere condolences to Karen and her brother--she loved you so!!!

Dear Karen and family,
Your mom was a wonderful woman.  It was a pleasure to work with her for so many years.  She was like another mom to me.  She treated all of her students as if they were her own children, with lots of love and patience.  May you find comfort in knowing that your mom touched so many lives with her kindness and love.

With Deepest Sympathy

Dear Danny,
We were so sad to hear the news about your mother.  Although we never had the privilege of meeting her, she was obviously a lady of character, intellect, and humor.  And you were a terrific son to her. Our condolences to you and your family.

Karen & Danny,

Heaven is rejoicing because another special person has made it home. Ms. Helen was filled with encouragement for all.  To get you through this time of sorrow remember some of the encouragement that she had said to the two of you.  Remember God loved her first and nothing that He does is done in vain.  Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Thank God we know who the Comforter is...

Dear Karen,
It is with deep sadness that I learned of the loss of your mother.  I wish to extend my sincerest sympathy to you and your family.  Helen was such a genuine person, so devoted to the children at East Rock School.  She listened, she cared and she comforted.  I admired Helen for her no-nonsense approach to life and her sunny disposition.  Karen, you were lucky to have Helen as your mother.  I was lucky just to have known her.

Dear Karen and Danny we are sadden by your loss, yet we rejoice in Helens' Home Going. We knew when we saw Helen that her smile would make us smile. You could count on Sunday morning that she would have words of love and encouragement for the young people. Regardless of how Helen was feeling she was going to clearly state her commitment to her faith and her love of the Lord. Your Mom will truly be missed.
