William Elder, 76, of New Haven, departed this life May 4, 2010. He was the widower of Thelma Elder.
Mr. Elder was born July 21, 1933 in Georgetown, SC.
He was employed for numerous years at Wonder Bread Co. as a Machine Operator.
He is survived by his children, Bernard and Kendra Elder, Willa Sutton and Jean Sabbs; a brother; three sisters; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Mr. Elder's life and legacy will be held Monday, May 10, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Union Temple Church, 54 Platt St. (corner of Elm St.), New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
