Yvonne Walker, 75, of Hamden, departed this life April 8, 2008.
Born in High Point, NC, October 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Charlie C. and Doreatha Gray Walker.
Prior to retiring, she was employed at Yale University in the Housekeeping Dept.
Ms. Walker is survived by her sisters, Sarah C. Walker and Blanche Walker Yelverton; a brother, Willie Kendall; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by brothers, Robert L., Willie O. and Prince E. Walker.
A celebration of Ms. Walker's life and legacy will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity COGIC, 135-139 Winthrop Ave., New Haven. Friends may call at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
