Sarah F. Little, 87, of New Haven, departed this life January 27, 2010.
Born in Greenville, NC, December 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Alberta Hemby.
She is survived by sons, Jalmor and Onofrio Little; daughters, Alberta Mason, Velverlen Washington, Evelyn Fletcher and Brenda Little; a sister, Doris Mae Little; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by brothers, Louis and William Little; a sister, Lillian Floyd; and her longtime companion, H. Jalmor Streater.
A celebration of Ms. Little's life and legacy will held Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 9:00 AM at Pitts Chapel Church, 64 Brewster St., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 8:00-9:00 AM. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
