Bonnie Ratliff, 60, of West Haven, departed this life August 23, 2009. She was the wife of James C. Ratliff, Sr.
Born in Baltimore, MD, May 8, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Gaskins and Doris Wynder.
She was employed by Finlay Distribution Center as a Processor.
In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Neya Brown and Rashida Ratliff Barno; sons, Douglas Shields and James C. Ratliff, Jr.; brothers, Onyx Noire and Anthony Gaskins; sisters, Latonya, Cynthia and Patricia Gaskins; ten grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Gaskins.
A celebration of Mrs. Ratliff's life and legacy will be held Saturday, August 29, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be private.
