Mary Louise Spruill, 72, of New Haven, departed this life March 25, 2008. She was the widow of Clifton C. Spruill.
Born in Edenton, NC, August 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen Murray Bonner.
She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Timothy, Melvin (Janie), Kenneth, Marvin and Kevin Spruill; daughters, Deborah Spruill-Watters (Edward "Barney"), Tearies Willoughby (Clarence), Alma, Joyce and Joann Spruill; a brother, Carleton Bonner; a sister, Delores Bonner; 28 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a brother, Harry "Buddy" Bonner, Jr.
A celebration of Mrs. Spruill's life and legacy will be held Monday, March 31, 2008, at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew's UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Friends may call at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
