Linda Kearney-McFadden, 61, of Hamden, departed this life April 23, 2010.
Born in Manhattan, NY, June 3, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Janie McClean.
She was well known and loved by many in the New Haven and Dixwell Community as a loving and caring Teacher. She began her teaching career at Helene Grant School and later went on to teach at Wexler-Grant Community School. To many, she was much more than a teacher and role model.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving husband, Larry D. McFadden; her daughter, Jasmine McFadden; loving stepson, Lawrence McFadden; loving sisters, Denise McClean and Karen Jones; brothers, Clifton and Anthony McClean; grandchildren, Lauren and Larry McFadden; nieces, Janique and Janaye McClean; loving nephew, James Harris; a special nephew, Terrance Miller; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Mrs. Kearney-McFadden's life and legacy will be held Thursday, April 29, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Shekinah Glory Church, 715 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
