Linola M. Johnson Smith, 94, of New Haven, departed this life March 17, 2008. She was the widow of Bruce Smith.
Born in Greenville, NC, April 19, 1913, she was the daughter of the late James Franklin Johnson and Florence Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Jimmie Johnson (Lola Johnson); five grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
A celebration of Mrs. Smith's life and legacy will be held Monday, March 24, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will be in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
