Laura J. Moye, 58, of Hamden, departed this life July 16, 2011. She was the wife of Melvin Moye.
Born in Palmico County, NC, March 2, 1953, she was the daughter of James O. Collins, Sr. and the late Sarah E. Collins.
Mrs. Moye was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as an Inspector and was a member of Living Word Ministries.
In addition to her husband and father she is survived by sons, Jason Collins (April) and Christopher Collins; brothers, Dallas Collins, James O. Collins, Jr. (Donarine), Herman J. Collins (Lorna) and Kenneth L. Collins (Tammi); a sister, Barbi Collins; grandchildren, Hailey, Sebastian and Jason Collins.
A celebration of Mrs. Moye's life and legacy will held Friday, July 22, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Living Word Ministries, 225 Meloy Rd., West Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held at the church from 9:00-11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
