Carrie N. Hugee, 94, wife of the late Richard
Hugee, entered into rest, November 1, 2007 at Harborside
Arden House in Hamden.
Born in Salters, SC, March 25, 1913, she was
the daughter of the late Willis and Norah Nelson.
Prior to retiring, she was employed for many years at Sargent
Manufacturing Co.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Aliva H. Mabry;
granddaughters, Lorraine Bullock (Hugh Jr.), Carrie Johnson,
Deborah Alston (John Jr.) and Louise Mabry; 9 great grandchildren;
3 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives
and friends.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Leroy Mabry, Jr; a son
in-law, Leroy Mabry, Sr.; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
A celebration of Mrs. Hugee's life and legacy will be held
Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Baptist
Church, 1324 Chapel St., New Haven. Friends may call at
the church from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
