I This tribute is to my Uncle Joe who took an adopted son of his only brother and always treated me as one his own child. Yes, even to the point of cutting my butt when I misbehaved and giving me the same kind of "tough love" he gave to his own offsprings.
My most vivid and memorable encounter with him as a young child was the many length he went to stop me from thumb-sucking...especially when he chopped my thumb with a hatchett. All of his eforts were futile for I continued to suck my thumb until I was a teenager.
May God bless and take care of your soul Uncle Joe, and thanks for the memories. I know you will give, dad, mom, Big Momma, and Aunt Corene our sincere love.
Your nephew & family,
J Mauri
