"Professionalism Personified"

Adam Michael Mendes Glidden

Adam Michael Mendes Glidden departed this life on April 28, 2007 at CT Hospice after a long illness.

He was loved and known as a "nice guy." He was kind, slow to anger, nonjudgmental and insisted on befriending the friendless. Due to these qualities, friends as well as family held his hands and kissed his face as he passed to his peace.

He was a graduate of High School in the Community Class of 2001. His dream of joining the Coast Guard was unfulfilled because of his diagnosis with cancer. His attendance at Gateway Community College was interrupted because of his illness.

Adam was employed at Stop & Shop in the General Merchandising Dept. Fresh water fishing was his passion and he loved animals.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his love and strength, fiance, Emily Eichler "My Love"; his mother, Fredericka Mendes Glidden Dundy; sisters, Dominica E. Mendes of New Haven and Shonda Rosetta of East Hartford; a brother, Frederick Mendes Jenkins of New Haven; a brother in-law, John Rosetta of East Hartford; a sister in-law, Rachel Levy of New Haven; four nieces; three nephews; aunts, uncles and a host of cousins.

Friends may call Friday, May 4, 2007 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Burial Saturday at 9:30 am in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
