Emma Louise Hill, 87, of West Haven, went home to be with the Lord, July 16, 2011. She was the widow of Albert Hill.
Emma was born on January 31, 1924, in Winston-Salem, NC, daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, William "Bill" Anderson and his wife Robbin; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Emma was predeceased by brothers, Charles, Jr., Tony and Lucky Anderson; and sisters, Ethel Anderson and Byrd Phillips.
A celebration of Mrs. Hill's life and legacy will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 9:00 A.M. at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held from 8:00-9:00 A.M. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
