Odessa Cash, 84, of Hamden, departed this life January 4, 2009. She was the widow of Robert Cash.
Born in Chesterfield, SC, June 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Maude Ratliff.
She was employed as a Caregiver for numerous years.
She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Ollia Mae, Thelma and Lisa Kelly, Katherine Lockwood (Lawrence), Redessa George (Desmond) and Janie McCotter; sons, Ray Thomas, Chester (Paula), and Clayton Cash (Janice), Verdell Ratliff and Robert Kelly; 30 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy and James Ratliff.
A celebration of Mrs. Cash's life and legacy will be held Friday, January 9, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 39 Emma St., West Haven. Friends may call at the church from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
