To Mother Cotten and the entire Carney family. I extend my deepest sympathy and my love to you all at the going home of our friend and brother. He was a quiet presence that I came to love and respect. He will be missed. I commend you to the Word of God that will keep your hearts and minds throught Jesus Christ.
He is at home with our Savior.
Love,

Uncle Jr.
I will miss seeing you at church and greeting you after Sunday service with your warm and friendly smile saying hay niece how you doing. When I would ask you how you were doing you would say "oh I'm doing fine for and old man".
Rest in peace Uncle Jr.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5
There are so many things in this life that I shall never understand. However, my faith in God, allows me to accept that all things are not for my understanding, but are all a part of God's Master Plan. So even at times such as this, we should glorify the Lord.
So to everyone, I proclaim, that God is Love ... and that Love is so incredibly ... God! that it prevails over all things, both tangible and intangible.
I shall miss my Grandfathers kind and melodious voice; however, I shall never forget the love and warmth that he extended so easily to me.
Please remember my mother, Delois Jenkins Evans (Carney) formerly of Bethel, NC, now of Baltimore, MD in your prayers' for comfort and solace.
Praise God!
